Transportation

To reach Periyar Tiger Reserve, first travel to Thekkady, the nearest town.

 

The easiest way is by road from Kochi (about 4–5 hours), where buses cost around ₹200–₹500 and taxis ₹3000–₹5000.

You can also take a train to Kottayam or fly to Cochin International Airport, then continue by road.
